“By bringing women together under one roof to address issues of importance to their success we aim to accelerate economic growth in the country and also assist to nurture female entrepreneurs,” says Karabo Keepile, Managing Director of Nasedi Media & Communications – and event organizers of Women in Business Seminar 2016.
Having lived in various countries for over a decade, Katleho returned home to feed her big appetite for entrepreneurship. In pursuit of her bliss, at the age of 25, Katleho opened up a boutique restaurant, Bliss, in Johannesburg that she conceptualized and managed. This is where her entrepreneurial and business development skills were carved.
“I believe in the power of story-telling. I believe in harnessing the collective power of women. WIBS2016 is the ideal platform to marry the two. There is a deep yearning for authentic networks among women, and I am hoping that from my talk, women will realise just how similar we are, and there is power in coming together and building the “female economy.” My topic will be around overcoming failure, and I hope that will help the women in attendance not fear failure so much, it awakens you to your most authentic self, and that is where the magic is!”
With a deep yearning to play her part in adding value to the entrepreneurial movement in South Africa, she was appointed CEO of Spark* South Africa which is part of the wider Spark* International Group with its headquarters in Australia.
Inspired by her experiences as an emerging entrepreneur and her passionate belief that women are vital architects of society, Katleho launched SHE in 2015.
Katleho is intrigued by the female entrepreneurship space and this is at the core of what drives all her endeavours.
